I am a community organizer with a strong sense of civic engagement.  If elected as the ANC Commissioner for SMD 3F05, I am committed to assisting residents actively participate in democratic processes to address our community issues and commonly shared community development challenges. I will encourage civic participation through neighborhood emails, Zoom/virtual meetings, a regular, electronically distributed newsletter. Going forward, I will welcome the opportunities to connect with the residents of Single Member District (SMD) 3F05.

My Platform includes these specific activities:

           

1. Helping create a stronger community through building a bridge between the community and local government.

2. Coordinating the resolution of neighborhood issues and challenges in SMD 3F05 with the other Commissioners of ANC 3F and City Council Member Mary Cheh.

3. Creating more opportunities for community feedback and engagement on issues and challenges in SMD 3FO5 with emails, virtual meetings, and distribution (electronically) of a regular newsletter.

As Commissioner of SMD 3F05, my proposed goals will include the following:

1.  Work with the District Department of Transportation and ANC counterparts on the Connecticut Avenue NW Reversible Lane project to remove reversible lanes and include protected bike lanes.

2.  Work with the Department of Energy and Environment to make sure residents are engages in programs the DC government provides to reduce stormwater runoff into Rock Creek.

3.  Ensure your voice is heard on matters affecting our neighborhood.
